Little Explorers: Infancy - VPK
After checking in, you have the option of taking a pager with you into service. It will vibrate and light up if we need you during service time for any reason. You are welcome to help your kids into their rooms, especially the first time you come, so you can see our welcoming areas and meet our team members! After that, we do encourage parents to allow us to bring the children to their rooms in order to maintain a secure building and help facilitate a smooth drop-off.
Little Explorers: Infancy - VPK
Our nursery has a spacious play area and a dedicated crib room for napping. In general, this room is for our infants through 2 year-olds. They are loved on, played with, and cared for!
Toddlers begin with some table-top activities in their room as everyone arrives. After a snack, they transition to our playroom, where they can explore and play! |
Our 4 & 5 year-olds also begin with table top activities. During the 10am service, they enjoy a 30 minute time block in the Watering Hole, along with the Kindergarten – 2nd grade group! During this time, the kids experience worship through songs and explore their Bible story through interactive storytelling methods. While in the classroom, they might follow up the lesson with activities, enjoy snack time, or play together! During the 11:30am service, the preschoolers enjoy their large group lesson in a classroom along with the Kindergarten students, and then return to their room for follow-up activities.
The lessons for our VPK kids are from the GO! Curriculum, which provides interactive lessons for the kids & changes the creative storytelling methods every 4-5 weeks. Your kids in VPK – 5th grade in Safari Kids will usually learn the same lesson, or at least will be learning about the same period in the Bible, but in different ways!
