BEYOND MOVEMENT: A Journey of Generosity
BEYOND MOVEMENT is more than a campaign — it’s a call to step forward in faith as we continue God’s movement through Movement Church. From our beginning in 1961 to today, we’ve seen lives changed, families restored, and communities reached through the hope of Jesus. Now, we’re being called to go beyond ourselves, beyond this moment, and beyond our current walls to reach even more people for Christ.
Where We’ve Been
Movement Church began with faith and vision — a small group willing to look beyond themselves to bring the gospel to Port Charlotte. Over the last 60+ years, God has multiplied that faith through missions, outreach, and life-changing ministries that continue to impact Southwest Florida and beyond.
Where We’re Going
In 2021, our renewed vision — to Know Jesus, Love Others, and Live Changed — sparked remarkable growth. More than 500 people have come to faith, nearly 200 have been baptized, and our Movement Family has grown by over 74%. Now we’re taking the next bold step.
BEYOND will:
- Expand and renovate our Midway Campus with 25,000 sq. ft. of new and refreshed space
- Create a welcoming new worship center, expanded Kids on the Move area, and enhanced community spaces like Mission Grounds Café
- Add classrooms and ministry rooms for Movement Students and discipleship groups
- Launch new church plants and campuses to reach the tens of thousands in our community with no church home
Why Now
This isn’t about bigger buildings — it’s about reaching more people. We believe God is calling Movement Church to be a hub of ministry and multiplication, where people are equipped, encouraged, and sent out to live on mission. Together, we can go beyond comfort zones, beyond walls, and beyond limits — for the glory of God and the good of our community.
A Call to Pray
As we step into this journey, prayer must lead the way. The BEYOND MOVEMENT CHURCH Prayer Guide invites our church family to commit to 21 Days of Prayer — a focused season of seeking God’s power and presence as we move forward in faith.
Each week focuses on a theme that reflects who we are and what we’re becoming:
- Days 1–3: MISSION – Praying that people would Know Jesus, Love Others, and Live Changed
- Days 4–6: LIFE CHANGE – Asking God to transform hearts, homes, and communities through His Spirit
- Days 7–9: ONGOING GROWTH – Seeking maturity, discipleship, and daily spiritual renewal
- Days 10–12: HONEST COMMUNITY – Building authentic relationships rooted in grace and truth
- Days 13–15: EXTRAVAGANT GENEROSITY – Reflecting God’s heart by giving joyfully and sacrificially
- Days 16–18: SELFLESS SERVICE – Using our gifts to serve others with humility and love
- Days 19–21: COMPELLING FAITH – Living out our faith so that others are drawn to Jesus
